Shanghai International Shipping Institute （SISI）

    The SISI is jointly launched by the Shanghai Maritime University (SMU), the government of Hongkou District and other units of more than 10 and is approved by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and greatly supported by Shanghai Municipal Construction and Transportation Commission.

    The SISI relies on the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre, greatly contacts international shipping organizations, enterprises and academies, gathers top experts in and abroad, builds a platform for the international shipping study, trails the new concepts, new technologies and new systems of the global shipping development, follows the ever-changing trend of the international shipping markets and contributes for the development of China’s shipping career and the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre.

    The SISI is a research and consultation organization for the international shipping development and provides decision-making consultation and information services to the government and the enterprises and shipping organization in and abroad.

    The SISI is openly managed and will be participated by the governments, enterprises, universities, research organizations, trade unions and international organizations.
